THE STORY

Lisa, an asian wife, and Ken, a traditional, old-fashioned and stubborn man immigrated to Canada with their son, Steven. Ken's judging father, Shota, also lives with them. Ken has found out Steven has failed an entrance exam into a college and wants to go into the Arts. Meeting for dinner, Ken confronts Steven about his failure, leading to Steven defying Ken's wishes. Ken thinks he owes Steven his obedience and work, sacrificing everything for his family, while Steven think's Ken is selfish and only thinks for himself. Lisa watches as the two tear the family apart, leading to Ken and Steven becoming more distant than before. She fully breaks

down, while Shota silently tries to eat his meal.
